How to brief a custom soft PVC charm order

The fastest charm orders start with a first message that already answers the factory’s questions. A complete brief gets you an accurate quote in one reply instead of a week of back and forth. This is what we ask for at MOCHI CHARMS, and why each item matters.

1. The artwork

Vector files (AI, PDF or SVG) are best, because we can measure line widths and color areas directly. A clear image is enough for a first quote. If you only have a sketch or a reference, say so; we tell you what has to be drawn before a mold can be made.

2. The number of designs and the quantity of each

Charm prices are set per design, because every design needs its own mold and color setup. “10 designs, 300 pieces each” and “one design, 3,000 pieces” are very different quotes, even though the total is the same. Our tiers start at $0.30 per piece for 100–499 pieces of a design and drop to $0.10 at 5,000 pieces. Our price breakdown works through three typical orders.

3. Size and colors

Give the height or width you want, and count the colors in each design. Every color is a separate layer of PVC, so color count affects the price more than size does. Our standard prices assume 25–35 mm and up to 6 colors.

4. Special effects

Mention glitter, glow-in-the-dark parts and any small text or gradients. Small text and gradients are usually UV-printed on top of the molded charm, which is priced separately.

5. Packing

Bulk packing, one charm per clear bag, or charms on backing cards with your logo. Packing changes the unit cost and the lead time, so it belongs in the first message.

6. Target date and delivery city

Tell us when the charms need to arrive and where. With the city and postal code we can quote air or sea freight, and check whether your date leaves time for samples. Samples take about 3 business days after artwork approval, and bulk production 7–15 days after sample approval.

7. Who owns the design

We only make designs the customer owns or is licensed to use. If a design includes a character, logo or team mark, tell us who holds the license.
